This is the best local branch I've been to. The line is always short and even the worst clerk I dealt with was quick and good at her job, albeit not the friendliest lady. It also helps immensely that I come prepared. I check the BMV website or call ahead to see what I need to bring and have ready. I think doing so would help a lot of people and prevent them from feeling live the BMV are the unorganized and irresponsible ones. It certainly speeds up the visit and ensures that what I need done gets done.
My daughter and I visited this branch and had an extremely pleasant experience. The manager, Treasure, was performing "triage" and was able to take care of the situation that I had previously talked to people at the state and local level with no success. I had some questions about another matter and she was able to answer those questions as well.
This 5 Star review is specifically for Dana. Dana assisted me on two separate visits that involved 3-4 different transactions. Both visits were handled seamlessly, professionally, and with quality customer service with a smile. Dana was efficient and knowledgeable, all of which made me very comfortable in knowing my business transactions will be on point and without error. I've read many reviews about this office being unprofessional, inefficient, and with attitude. The reviews are general in that specific employees are not named. Although the reviews may be justified, Dana is one employee who has consistently exhibited exemplary performance in providing quality and timely customer service. These are necessary skills for ALL persons who decide to enter the customer service profession. I hope the management team and other employees of this branch take note and corrective action to turn around their reputation. Thanks Dana for making my experience with this New Albany branch a pleasant one!
For awhile they had a receptionist who could tell you if your documents, etc were the ones they wanted. Not so anymore you have to take a ticket take a seat to find out half hour later you don't have acceptable paperwork. Why when everything is digital do they still require printed copies of everything just for their brief perusal is beyond me.
This is the worst license branch. I've ever been to My daughter took her drivers test here and the instructor was very rude and made her feel very uncomfortable I would not recommend this one to anyone
