A quick date night to the local pizzeria. I really wanted to give this place a 5 star review, after visiting their sister restaurant Bella Roma in downtown New Albany last week(which was a very pleasant dining experience). The garlic knots and marinara sauce is as good as I've had. We also tried the fried calamari. We've had better, but for a local pizzeria, and the marinara sauce that makes everything better, they were pretty good as well.

Disappointing service. Had to ask for everything: drink refills, salad dressing. $6 side salad was ok just pricey. Pizza, Mimo Special $23, again tasted good but very sparse toppings. I won't be going back.
Mimo's is a nice, quaint Italian/pizza restaurant. The food is very good as is the service. It is so nice to have a place that has a great mix of good service, fair price and fantastic food with the added bonus of being Italian.
Thank you Mimo's for giving me yet another reason to never need to cross the threshold at Olive Garden. For that alone you deserve 5 stars.
The food is excellent and the owners and staff are very friendly .Definitely a nice little place to eat.

When we got the bill it was wrong. Again the simple things. We were way over charged for drinks, but to the credit of the staff they corrected the mistake, and apologized.
Although very friendly, the waiting staff struggled to perform the ordinary tasks every other restaurant seems to have down. Our pizza was set on a table next to us to which I had to leave my seat to serve ourselves. Perhaps a tray beside the table would've helped. After our first two Bud Light's, we asked for two more to which they explained that they were out. Not a big deal, but for a beer as popular as Bud Light in Southern IN, I would think they would have it stocked pretty well.
Flawless rehersal dinner location. The lemon cake was the perfect way to end the evening.
As far as the pizza goes, we went with the "Mimo's Special". What better way to test the weight of Pizzeria than the house special. We got the New York style crust which was very light, and tasty. I've already talked enough about the sauce, it was great. The toppings seemed to be fresh, and the cheese was gooey and delicious. Everything I like to see in a pizza it had. If I was to make one suggestion, I would've liked the crust in the middle to be a little more done. I realize its a fine line to over cook to get the middle done, not burnt, but I have faith these native Italians can get it done.
Overall I gave 4 stars. Thats probably generous considering the review that I wrote, but I feel with just a little staff training, and organization it could be a go to spot. The ambience was very nice. Very quiet, with good lighting. The white paper table cloths with candles adds to the experience as well. I will be back to a hopeful crispy pizza and a belly full of Bud Light.
